1. The exposition
The Forsyte family was in a party. Old Jolyon was the head of the family. The party was to celebrate the engagement of Old Jolyon’s grand-daughter, June, to Mr. Philip Bosinney. In the party he met June’s friend, Irene.
2. Rising action (climax)
The Forsyte family had known that Bosinney and Irene loved each other. It is scandal, because actually Bosinney and June had engaged. June was very unhappy when she had known it.
3. Falling action (denouement)
Bosinney had dead but his death was mystery. There was no one knew why he death. Irene came back again in Soames although actually Irene didn’t love her husband.

VIII. Setting of the novel : In London, and Robin hill. The time was 15th 1886 next.

IX. Point of view of the novel : “The Limited Omniscient Point of View”
The author not only told what the characters said and acted, but what the characters felt, and it was limited. It can be explained that the author told the characters said, acted, felt, but not all of the characters who were in the story.

XV. The summary of the novel :

The Forsytes were an upper-class family in polite society. They were wealthy. At the moment, the Forsyte family was in a party. Old Jolyon was the head of the family. The party was to celebrate the engagement of Old Jolyon’s grand-daughter, June, to Mr. Philip Bosinney. In the party he met June’s friend, Irene.
Actually Iren had married Soames and Bosinney and June had engaged but, Bosinney and Irene loved each other. Irene was unhappy with her husband, because actually she didn’t really love his. Soames wanted to build a house in Robin Hill. He ordered Bosinney to build a house there. Bosinney was a good architect. After the house had finished there was a scandal. It was the problem about money. Bosinney spent the money more than an agreement with Soames. They brought the problem in the court. The judge told the court that Philip Bosinney this amount of many back to Soames.
Irene loved Bosinney very much. Her husband knew about it. But her husband loved her very much. He would not let her go. June also was very sad when she knew that Bosinney and Irene loved each other.
Finally, Bosinney had an accident, he died. There was no one knew why he had an accident and died. Irene back to her husband again although her didn’t really love her husband.
